This oil is one that is considered probably the most spiritual oil in the world, Frankincense. Its been used in religious ceremonies for thousands and thousands of years. Egyptian tradition considered Frankincense to be a cure-all. Ancient uses holy anointing oil, enhance meditation, transitioning to death, embalming, perfume, anoint newborn sons of kings & priests. This is why it was brought to Jesuss birth.

Benzoin tincture was used for over 200 years in hospitals prior to World War II as an antiseptic and historically was used for respiratory support.

In the story of creation, on the third day, is the first mention of plants and herbs in the Bible. In Genesis 1:11-12, we read:

In Exodus 30:34-35, the Lord actually gives Moses a Holy Incense recipe

Onchya means nail, claw, hoof, and also onyx, a precious stone. The form onycha was perhaps chosen to avoid confusion with onyx, the stone. It is an essence thats extracted from the gum resin of a tree. Its spicy and hot aroma is soothing and calming.

in 1 Samuel 12-13: 12 Then the Lord said, Rise and anoint him; this is the one. 13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.

From the Laurel family. It is steam distilled from branches, leaves and petioles. While its aroma is similar to cinnamon, cassia is chemically and physically quite different. High in antioxidants. Also mentioned in Egyptians ancient medical records.

Hyssop is mentioned a dozen times in the Bible.

1 Samuel 10:1 Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Sauls head and kissed him, saying, Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance?

As you can see it wasnt only the oil that had the magic it was the combination of prayer, repentance, trust and faith in God and the protective oil.

The oil is extracted from the Boswellia tree. The tree needs to be at least 40 years old before you can extract 1 drop of oil from it. In Biblical times, 40 years was very significant as it symbolized one generation. It also grows in the toughest conditions usually in rocks. Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) includes the naturally occurring constituent boswellic acid (we suggest Googling that constituent) and has a woodsy, warm, balsamic aroma. Diffuse Frankincense during meditation for grounding and purpose. Applying this oil topically may help smooth the appearance of healthy-looking skin especially on the face of those who are aging, and is excellent to use for massage after activity.

Jesus mother Mary would have appreciated the gift of Myrrh as well since it was known to help women in postpartum with issues like stretched skin and stretch marks. It was also helpful to rub on the umbilical cord of the newborn to help the wound.

They are the volatile oils of a plant, meaning they will evaporate, unlike a fatty oil.
