Ancient Hindu Temples Stand in a Straight Line

There are over 100,000 temples in South India alone!

There may be 200,000 temples in India but how many of them are of the size and magnitude of Chidambaram, Kanchi and Kalahasti. I challenge anyone to name 100 temples in India of such magnitude. We are talking here about these magnificient temples which have enormous significance both in terms of Energy levels and Spirituality (Tathva). Even though it is absolutely amazing how they built these temples in such straight line, the more important thing spiritually is why they did it. Answer to this question could be more meaningful for our spiritual quest. Rubbing it aside as a mere coincidence without striving to understand the reason, shows our lack of respect and faith towards our saints who spent their life time in this field of spirituality.

According to me, this directly indicates that all the sages who constructed these temples have similar knowledge of geographical area, and environment and knew the science very well. Our 8 directions also give the scientific significance of these panch mahabhuta. Can any one help me in finding why the temple is related to particularly one panchmahabhuta. Like kalahasti temple is related with wind. Why it is so? Any scientific explanation regarding this?
