The 1,500-Year-Old Love Story Between a Persian Prince and a Korean Princess that Could Rewrite History

If there was a tower of Babel, it was Etemenanki: a massive, stone ziggurat at the center of Babylon built to be a passageway up to heaven. The Babylonians didnt see their tower of Babel as a failure. As far as they were concerned, they really had made a stairway that they could walk up to go see the gods and it really worked.

Rearing on its hind legs, the giant ground sloth would have been a formidable prey for anyone, let alone humans without modern weapons. Tightly muscled, angry and swinging its fore legs tipped with wolverine-like claws, it would have been able to defend itself effectively.

Return of the Ancient Gods: The Resurgence of Paganism

Most Egyptologists, however, interpret the image much differently. The Hermopolitan myth of creation, the first thing to emerge from the primordial sea of Nun, which pre-existed creation, was a lotus flower. That flower gave birth to the sun god, Atum-Ra. There are many ancient depictions of the lotus in the shape of a lamp similar to the relief above, and in later depictions a snake in abubblewas used to represent Atum-Ra. The bubble or field around the snake may represent the emergence of the universe out of nothingness. Therefore, an obvious implication to the meaning of the Dendera lamp, according to Egyptologists, is a reference to the sun god emerging from the lotus flower.

At Ancient Origins, we believe that one of the most important fields of knowledge we can pursue as human beings is our beginnings. And while some people may seem content with the story as it stands, our view is that there exists countless mysteries, scientific anomalies and surprising artifacts that have yet to be discovered and explained.

I dont get the massive light bulbs theory, sure they look a bit like huge electric lightbulbs but in each of the three depictions, these implements are being waved about by enormous beings who are obviously giants, my own theory would be that these giants are descendants of the Nephilim and that these devices might explain how they cut/shaped the massive rocks into the pyramids/ megastructures etc. Its every bit as plausible as the lightbulb theory.

The Dendera light is found on three stone reliefs and, at first glance, could be construed as a lamp with a cable at the end and a snake-shaped cord inside. A priest is holding the lamp at one end, and a few smaller figures are below it with one appearing to hold the lamp upwards.

After the Blessed Virgin Mary and her assorted shrines and grottoes, evangelical Catholics in Canada and United States flock to and draw inspiration from the North American Martyrs Shrines in Midland, Ontario and Auriesville, New York; where collectively six clerics and two `donne or lay people were killed, supposedly `in odium fidei (in hatred of the faith).

An international team of scientists led by researchers at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History and the University of Kiel has successfully reconstructed genomes from Stone Age and Medieval European strains of the hepatitis B virus.

Scholars also point out there there is no reference in historical texts of the use of light or electricity, which one would expect to find if it really were an electrical lamp, nor have any electrical items been uncovered in the thousands of archaeological sites throughout Egypt.
